[SWD2] What's the console message in the Vectron about?
This article is about the Vectron of SWD2, but also refers to SWD and SWH.
This is the console that flashed in the middle of the Vectron.
(Sorry for imcomplete last sentence: "ERROR RESULT: ANOMALY DETECTED_" is correct.)
We can find some description related to SWH or other SteamWorld scene.
SPACE CAPSULE: SECURE
I'm convinced they refers SWH's Vectron.
In SWH, a voltbot is captured by Royalists from the hibernation chamber in the alien ship. Then, when Piper freed it, it awoke other voltbots sleeping at the moon.
On the SteamWorld timeline, SWD2 is before SWH, so the two discription on console should indicates the escape of the voltbots.
Descr.1 is relatively obvious, but interpretation of this sentence is ambiguous.
I think DIRECTIVE B is SWH's Vectron, so DIRECTIVE A must be important for SteamWorld.
Some hypotheses are below.
However, "BLUE SAVIOR" word appears on one more console.
It's shown at the end of the Vectron.
DIRECTIVE A is apparently something started when Dorothy escaped.
Well, the fact SWH's Vectron slept for long time doesn't match the descr. so much...

Description 2: BLUE SAVIOR
DIRECTIVE A: BLUE SAVIORDescr.1 is relatively obvious, but interpretation of this sentence is ambiguous.
I think DIRECTIVE B is SWH's Vectron, so DIRECTIVE A must be important for SteamWorld.
Some hypotheses are below.
- Voltbot (Joe)
At First, I thought BLUE SAVIOR indicates SWD's Voltbot (Joe) because simply A is before B on console. However, "BLUE SAVIOR" word appears on one more console.
It's shown at the end of the Vectron.
DIRECTIVE A is apparently something started when Dorothy escaped.
- Vectron (voltbots in SWH)
It might be Vectron, which would wake up at the moon. Words such as "INITIATED" can indicates starting of some programs that might drive Vectron to specific purpose.Well, the fact SWH's Vectron slept for long time doesn't match the descr. so much...
- Fen
Fen catched some information of doomsday devices with a little confusion.
It might refer to the event.
It might refer to the event.
But...
As the players know, there's no SAVIOR, who can conveniently save the world, in SWD2.
Even in the opponent side, it means DESTROYER, Vectron was like a ghost, not main enemy.
I hardly think Rosie, a shiner, is affected by Vectoron.
Oh it became too sentimental?
Realistically thinking, I wonder the hypothesis below is more correct.
- For the Future Game
Steam community let me find the reference below:
"I'm sure there's at least one game in between Dig 2 and Heist, and there should be more to come after Heist as well," by Sigurgeirsson in this interview.
The BLUE SAVIOR might be the boss enemy or the protagonist.
I can't wait next game... (`・ω・´)!
Conclusion
It's always fun to think what the creators hided a bit.
Perhaps the mysteries are only mine... other players may completely grabbed what it refered to...
Feel free to leave comments!
Teach this fool anything (`・ω・´)!
Saw a Let's Player come up with this: what if 'Blue Savior' was a virus/malware type program written by Fen-to convince Vectron to kick Dorothy out rather than killing or assimilating her?
ReplyDeleteWow Fen's so cool!!
DeleteThey are confused after Vectron scene, but unconciously they might have saved Dorothy...it's precious...
Also, dapper-robot posted a post today wtih a bunch of screenshots: Directive B, "Moon Escape". "Backup Completed".
DeleteDid Fen backup themself when in the teleporter at the end of the game and send the backup to the space capsule?
Oh I felt "Backup Completed" a bit threatening, but in that case, it's nice cuz it might have helped Fen's escape to the space :)
DeleteBTW, can you let me know original post/video of that Let's Player and dapper-robot?
I want to know more SteamWorld fans!
the let's player was ZebraGamer, here's the video he came to that conclusion in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LO54x5XQL9w&list=PLcSJgS0A3-53vnt6cZ0ckzr8aHLoGKQlV&index=8

Thanks a lot!
DeleteZebraGamer himself was adorable when he said "Don't tell me he sacrificed himself our little blue buddy, yeah he was a jerk but..." 😂
"Our little blue buddy," it's nice.
And, I saw dapper-robot's great artworks of SteamWorld, I'm so satisfied 👍
